These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tactful iOS application ("the app"). By downloading or using Tactful, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The Service

Tactful uses artificial intelligence to generate suggested scripts for difficult conversations, such as asking for a raise, setting boundaries, or apologizing. The app provides suggestions to help you prepare; it is a drafting aid, not a substitute for professional advice.

2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Scripts are generated by an automated AI model and are provided "as is." They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific situation. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to use any generated content. Tactful does not provide legal, financial, medical, psychological, or other professional advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Tactful. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Tactful to:

Harass, threaten, defraud, or harm others.
Generate unlawful, hateful, or abusive content.
Violate the rights of any third party.
Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its servers.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Tactful offers a free first use, then requires a subscription ("Tactful Pro") to unlock unlimited script generation and all scenarios. Subscription options include weekly, monthly, and annual plans, as described at the point of purchase.

Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region. We may change prices for future billing periods with notice.

6. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies. We do not directly process payments or issue refunds.

7. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, and its content (excluding scripts you generate) are owned by Tactful and protected by applicable laws. Subject to these Terms, you may use scripts you generate for your own personal, lawful purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your needs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tactful shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any outcomes resulting from your use of generated content or the app.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Apple Standard EULA

Unless you have a separate written agreement with us, your license to use the app is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
